This interactive workshop, taught by Raul Ramirez, will help introduce you to this useful software, as well as provide information for further usage. Light food will be provided. Bring your laptops, and hope to see you there!
LaTeX is a document preparation system, that allows for the creation of publication quality articles, tables, and mathematical equations without having to worry about file formatting. In combination with LaTeX, BibTex will allow you to have a database of your cited articles and use them to automatically create reference pages for your article. Sweave incorporates R code directly into LateX, which allows for you to enter code into your documents that outputs professional quality graphics and tables easily.
So if you're interested in...
- Easier ways to type out mathematical formulas and have automated APA formatting
- Creating high quality and easily manipulated graphs/tables (will be easier if using R)
- Being able to create a database of references that you can later use to create an automated APA style reference section
Hosted by CHI.
